Off to Paris
A nice class weekend trip to Paris fun right? NOT!
Our day started off horribly. On the bus ride we had assigned seats which meant that my friends and I couldn't sit next to each other and of course I was assigned to the most horrendous kid in our class who annoyed me the whole bus trip which was five hours! I tried to ignore him by watching everything zoom by the window. It was very nice outside and we were stuck inside this metal box.
Once we got to our hotel we all had shared rooms which meant all the boys shared a room and all the girls shared a room, not fair since the teachers all had a separate rooms. Never the less the room was really big and the beds were very comfortable. We put our luggage away and went back down. Our weekend trip would last four days, two days in Paris and two days in Disneyland. We started our first day in Paris and since our hotel was in the middle of it we just walked outside. First, we went to the louvre. We could walk on our own. So my friends and I really enjoyed the art work. Next, we went to the Eiffel tower. We climbed all the way to the top and saw the beautiful view. Now I finally understand why people enjoy it so much. After our visit to the Eiffel tower we had some free time to explore Paris. As long as we were back at our meeting point by some restaurant by 5pm. Which meant we had two hours to ourselves. So my friends and i went straight to the bakery and bought some macarons. It’s said that they are even more delicious in France. Those people who said that were absolutely right. Of course when you let four girls do what they want in Paris that means one thing: SHOPPING. I bought the cutest dress and some shorts with a nice top.
At the restaurant we all sat down in groups of four. Our teachers told us to order whatever we want, so that’s exactly what we did. For my entrée I ordered an Assiette de fruits et fondue de brie, which was an wedge of baked brie with ripe melon and berries. For my main course I chose some Truite sauté sauce with Amere, also known as sauteed fresh boneless trout with raspberry vinegar butter sauce, tarragon, paisley and shallots. And for dessert: fresh crepes filled with vanilla ice cream and, drizzled with caramel sauce. It was all so delicious! But one of my friends ordered some escargots, not knowing those were snails, so when the waiter put the plate in front of her, the look on her face was hilarious. She never took a bite
The two days we went to Disneyland, we didn’t do much. We just went on rides, looked in amazement at everything, took some pictures with characters like: Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Stitch, Ariel, Rapunzel etc. we watched some shows and saw the parades. I also bought some souvenirs for my family. Those days went by quick. I guess it’s true what they say: “Time flies when you’re having fun.”
I won’t bore you with the lame scavenger hunt we had done the second day in Paris. But yeah, in the end I think we all can say it was a successful and fun trip. Let me know what you thought about it and If you would ever visit Paris or Disneyland. I would love to go back one day for sure.
